The Movement Arc
Somatic Education & Therapy
Creating an embodied, expressive, healthy and connected world!
The Movement Arc is dedicated to creating a healthy, embodied, expressive, and connected world by engaging people of all ages in somatic, dynamic, expressive, creative and meaningful movement. We offer a unique ISMETA accredited 250hour professional training program called Expressive Movement Facilitation (EMF) as well as other personal and professional development classes, courses and programs from 1 to 50hrs in length.
We believe in the power of body awareness, movement, dance and embodiment to affect change in how we relate as human beings to ourselves, each other and to the planet. We can all transform in our capacity for living a more embodied, vital and happy life. We also educate about the important role of movement in human development through The Moving Child Films, E-Books and other resources.
Our courses and programs are rooted in the Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies framework, neurodevelopmental movement and other renowned somatic and expressive movement traditions. Our instructors and community of students support you to experience, know, trust and skillfully facilitate transformative movement and dance for a wide range of applications! Come join us live or take an on demand learning journey at your own pace (see the Embodiment Tools 21 Day Course). We are excited to speak and meet you!
