HOURS: 50 total ~ 25 hours in-person learning during a four day intensive March 14-17, 2025 and 25 hours of online classes.
TIME: Online classes are weekly on Wednesdays 5-7pm Pacific Time Zone. In person retreat days are 9:30am-4:30pm (with one hour lunch break), plus an extra one hour dance party on Saturday evening.
LOCATION: Online by Zoom, and in person on Saltspring Island BC, Canada.
INSTRUCTOR: Hana Kamea Kemble and/or members of The Movement Arc’s teaching staff.
DEADLINE to register for Winter 2025 course is January 6, 2025.
Online class dates are January 8, 15, 22, 29, Feb 5, 12, 19, 26, and March 5, 12. Plus 3 asynchronous hours of videos and films and a 1/1 hour personal meeting with course instructor is included in tuition.
Included in your tuition is also one hour of consulting time with Hana Kamea Kemble, course instructor to be scheduled at any time you like during or after your course.
Embodiment Foundations is a somatic self-discovery process that integrates experiential anatomy, Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies (LBMS), movement/dance, and expressive arts. This course taps into the natural intelligence of the body-mind and incorporates diverse approaches to embodied inquiry. It offers a wellness-focused creative exploration aimed at fostering a more embodied life and using movement expression to enhance overall well-being.
