Programs

The Movement Arc offers unique and distinct 3 month, 10 month and 3 year long personal development and professional training programs as well as shorter workshops designed for students with different personal or professional goals. We draw from a diversity of dance and movement modalities, movement observation and current therapeutic somatic arts.

This is a unique online 30 hour course (2 credit, ADTA Alt Route Approved) that supports students of Dance Therapy or registered Clinicians (Counsellors, Psychologists, Social Workers, Psychotherapists, Psychiatrists) with the knowledge, understanding and techniques/methods to integrate more embodiment and movement into their practice of psychotherapy/counselling.

Instructors: Hana Kamea Kemble, BC-DMT, RCC, CLMA, and Tannis Hugill, RCC, BC-DMT, RDT, etc. (Both instructors have over 50 years combined experience in the field, with additional training in other forms of psychotherapy also specific to trauma healing, addictions recovery, eating disorder treatment, grief, anxiety, and experience with a host of other clinical issues). Both teachers are supervisors and teachers of Dance/Movement Therapy. See bios.

Pre-req level: It is ideal if students have some understanding of somatics and dance therapy prior to taking this course, but it is not necessarily required depending on the practitioners background. We are happy to share the course Syllabus with you upon request (copyright The Movement Arc).
